On the occasion of International Women in Science Day, the inaugural event of GO WINneRS – Women in Research, Gynecology & Obstetrics, an association founded by Maria Luisa Gasparri MD, PhD, Prof., hashtag#EUBREAST ETS Executive Board Member, Head of the EOC Department, a gynecologist and breast specialist, and the Committee: Dr. Mariacarla Andreozzi, Ph.D., Mariacarla Andreozzi, Ph.D. , Stefania Rizzo Morena Antonilli and @Federica Merlo, was held at the Ente Ospedaliero Cantonale (EOC), Ospedale Italiano in Lugano.
The evening, with over 200 participants, focused on an innovative vision: actively involving patients not only in the treatment process but also in research design.
Giving voice to experience means transforming science. When those living with the disease contribute to defining priorities, objectives, and research questions, studies become more realistic, more sensitive to quality of life, and more relevant to daily clinical practice.
